Happy 2019! Greensboro Orthopaedics is now EmergeOrtho Triad Region. EmergeOrtho, formed in 2016, is an independent physician-owned orthopaedic medical practice in North Carolina. Greensboro Orthopaedics is excited to be the first practice in the Triad to join EmergeOrtho. The other EmergeOrtho regions include, the Blue Ridge Region (Asheville area), the Foothills Region (Hickory area), the Triangle Region (Durham area), and the Wilmington Region.
It’s important to note, our patients will still have access to the same Greensboro Orthopaedics specialists they know and trust. Our new logo is a modern approach to a time-honored symbol in medicine: the shield. The EmergeOrtho version of the shield combines the solid nature of a shield with the fluidity of a ribbon, representing both strength and movement, two primary goals of orthopaedic care. The ribbon appears to be winding from bottom to top, a movement that communicates emergence. The color blue is associated with trust, confidence, sincerity, and tradition. Orange is a bold, modern color that conveys health, energy, and creativity.
As EmergeOrtho Triad Region, we will change our medical records platform. What does this mean for our patients? Their current patient portal account will change to athenahealth. With an athenahealth patient portal account you can securely access, your personal health information, view your appointment information, pay your bill, communicate securely with your EmergeOrtho provider(s) & staff, request a medication refill, and much more. Our goal is to provide our patients with uninterrupted portal access through this transition. Patients can create their new patient portal account at https://847-4.portal.athenahealth.com
If you have questions or concerns regarding our new structure, please call us at 336-545-5000. In the meantime, our website and social media platforms will remain fully operational. We hope you find this news as exciting as we do. At Greensboro Orthopaedics, we see this union as the next phase in the advancement of our practice. We will continue our focus on delivering outstanding, comprehensive, and patient-centered care. We sincerely appreciate the opportunity to serve you and our community.
On January 1, 2019, Greensboro Orthopaedics will join EmergeOrtho and will be called EmergeOrtho Triad Region. EmergeOrtho, formed in 2016, one of the largest independent, physician-owned orthopedic practices in the country and includes the Blue Ridge Region, the Foothills Region, the Triangle Region, and Wilmington Region.
“Greensboro Orthopaedics is excited to be the first to bring the considerable resources of an integrated medical group practice like EmergeOrtho to the Triad, said Dr. Jeffrey Beane, President of Greensboro Orthopaedics. “At Greensboro Orthopaedics, we see this union as the next phase in the advancement of our practice.”
Patients will remain in the care of the same Greensboro Orthopaedics providers they know and trust. EmergeOrtho broadens patient access to a fully integrated group of highly-trained and experienced orthopedic specialists. EmergeOrtho utilizes a single Electronic Health Records system across the state. Integrating their network across North Carolina, all EmergeOrtho offices use the same Electronic Health Records system. Patients treated for injury while on vacation, for example, can follow up with an EmergeOrtho provider in their hometown who has seamless access to their medical record.
From the mountains to the coast, patients benefit from ancillary services such as diagnostic imaging, therapy services, and specialized orthopedic urgent care centers designed to address emergent orthopedic needs offering patients a less expensive alternative to the ER.
EmergeOrtho continually builds on proven strategies as well as implements practices & programs that further the group’s mission to remain independent, to put patients first, and to provide exceptional standard of care.
