Tracy Shuford, PA-C
Tracy Shuford is a physician assistant with close to 20 years of experience in orthopaedics. She primarily cares for patients who suffer from orthopaedic injuries & conditions that result from athletics, trauma, or degenerative conditions of the shoulder. She treats patients under the supervision of Kevin M. Supple, MD. Tracy is thoughtful, detail-oriented, and strives to provide the best office experience for the patients she treats. She not only provides patient-centered care in the office, but Tracy assists Dr. Supple in surgery. In surgery, Dr. Supple and Tracy specialize in shoulder reconstruction surgery including total shoulder as well as reverse total shoulder replacements. Their patients range from pediatric to geriatric stages of life.
As a collegiate student-athlete, Tracy was an All-American in soccer and also played basketball as well as softball at Elon University. She was inducted into the Elon University Athletics Hall of Fame as a 3 sport athlete. Following, her undergraduate education, Tracy attended Wake Forest University to become a physician assistant. Her passion for and success in athletics continues, as Tracy is a 4-time CrossFit Games Athlete and GRID Athlete.
Her experiences as a competitive athlete carryover into her work as a physician assistant. Tracy enjoys using her knowledge to assist her patients in resolving their pain, regaining their function, and returning to an active life. Her expertise, experience, and kindheartedness are irreplaceable.
