Ronald A. Gioffre, MD, FAAOS, FACS
Dr. Gioffre is a senior partner of Greensboro Orthopaedics. He has been practicing medicine for over 40 years and performs spine, shoulder, hip, and knee surgery including hip & knee joint replacements.
Following the completion of his surgical internship at Jackson Memorial Hospital, Dr. Gioffre served in the U.S. Marine Corps, earning a Silver Star in Vietnam. After service as a Naval physician at St. Albans Naval Hospital in New York, he returned to Jackson Memorial Hospital completing his orthopaedic surgical residency.
Then, Dr. Gioffre worked in private orthopaedic practice as an orthopaedic surgeon both in Miami and Greensboro. In 1984, Dr. Gioffre joined Greensboro Orthopaedics. He has served as Chief of Staff at Wesley Long Hospital and President of Greensboro Orthopaedics.
Dr. Gioffre chose the field of orthopaedic medicine because of his experience in Vietnam as a U.S. Marine Corps physician. Dr. Gioffre finds assisting those in need and helping them through recovery very satisfying. He enjoys building positive relationships, as he feels that most people are his friends, not just another patient.
