Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R), Pain Medicine
Dr. Ramos joined Greensboro Orthopaedics in 2001. He is a physiatrist, a physician who diagnoses and treats patients with injuries or conditions that affect how they function. Dr. Ramos’s comprehensive approach to medicine enables him to treat the whole person, not just the area of dysfunction or pain. As a physiatrist, Dr. Ramos provides patient-centered care through a variety of non-surgical treatments such as epidural steroid injections (ESI), nerve conduction studies (NCV), and neural prolotherapy (NPT). He cares for patients of all ages, from pediatric to geriatric stages of life.
During medical school, Dr. Ramos was drawn toward outpatient musculoskeletal medicine. He decided to specialize in physical medicine and rehabilitation. Dr. Ramos strives to provide a care based on trust with putting his patient’s interests first. His patients are involved in the development of their individual treatment plan with the goal of maintaining or returning to an active lifestyle.
