Dahari D. Brooks, MD, FAAOS
Dr. Brooks joined Greensboro Orthopaedics in 2008. He is a board-certified, spine fellowship-trained, orthopaedic surgeon. Dr. Brooks specializes in the surgical and non-operative care of the spine. In his practice, he predominantly cares for patients ranging from adolescent through adult stages of life.
Dr. Brooks has a special interest in degenerative conditions of the spine, spinal deformity, spinal malignancy, and spinal conditions caused by trauma. These conditions include compression fractures degenerative disc disease, herniated discs, spondylolisthesis, scoliosis, osteoarthritis, osteoporosis, stenosis, sciatica, and tumors. Dr. Brooks uses advanced technology to deliver the best possible medical care for his patients. Spinal fusions, discectomies, laminectomies, total disc replacements are a few of the surgical procedures Dr. Brooks performs to improve their quality of life.
Prior to joining Greensboro Orthopaedics, Dr. Brooks was an Associate Professor of Orthopaedics at the University of Massachusetts. He was responsible for resident and medical student education. During his tenure, he published several articles in peer-reviewed journals, authored book chapters, lectured at national and local spine society meetings all while maintaining an demanding spine practice.
Providing patient-centered care is a priority for Dr. Brooks. He makes every effort to build positive relationships with his patients. He appreciates being able to serve his patients through alleviating their pain and improving their function. Dr. Brooks chose the field of orthopaedics because he enjoys that fact that he is able to serve his patients by providing exceptional medical care to help them improve their quality of life improve as they return to an active lifestyle.
