Angela Capilupo, PT, DPT, MS, Cert. MDT, CKTP
Angela Capilupo is a physical therapist who primarily cares for patients suffering from neck and back pain. She originally joined Greensboro Orthopaedics in 2005 after working as a physical therapist in a hospital setting. It was at Greensboro Orthopaedics, she began to specialize in spine care. In 2007, Angela resigned from Greensboro Orthopaedics to accept the responsibilities of a lead physical therapist at a different physical therapy clinic.
While practicing elsewhere, Angela became credentialed by the McKenzie Institute in Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (MDT). The McKenzie Method is an innovative approach utilized by physical therapists and other healthcare practitioners to evaluate and treat neck, back, as well as extremity injuries and conditions. This method is characterized by active patient involvement and patient education. Angela returned to Greensboro Orthopaedics in 2011 and has since earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy.
Most recently, Angela became certified in Personalized Blood Flow Restriction (PBFR). She uses this modality with all types of patients ranging from post-surgical patients to performance athletes. Angela’s motivation and determination to advance her education is also apparent when she is caring for her patients. She strives to deliver quality patient-centered care identifying her patient’s needs and goals to develop individualized treatment plans. Angela enjoys using her knowledge to assist her patients in resolving their pain, regaining their function, and returning to an active life.
