Amanda Owens, PTA
Amanda “Mandee” Owens is a physical therapist assistant who joined Greensboro Orthopaedics in 2011. Prior to joining Greensboro Orthopaedics, Mandee worked at another local outpatient therapy center where she cared for patients with a variety of orthopaedic injuries and conditions. At Greensboro Orthopaedics, Mandee primarily treats patients with spine diagnoses but, enjoys treating all types of patients. She expresses one of the many benefits of her profession is that she is able to experience patients’ joyfulness as they progress through their recovery. Mandee strives to deliver quality, compassionate, and patient-centered care to all of her patients.
Her recent clinical continuing education endeavors have included participation in courses through The McKenzie Institute®. The McKenzie Method is an innovative approach utilized by physical therapists and other healthcare practitioners to evaluate and treat neck, back, as well as extremity injuries and conditions. This method is characterized by active patient involvement and patient education.
Mandee not only provides for her patients with knowledge and kindness, but also serves her community through volunteerism and charitable efforts. Mandee has volunteered her time as a Special Olympics equestrian coach and with a Hippotherapy program. The Hippotherapy program is a therapy program to improve the quality of life for individuals with disabilities. Mandee also participates in local charity events such as the Women’s Only 5K Walk & Run as well as Spin Under the Stars for MS. Mandee’s compassion and service for her patients and community are exceptional.
